The wonderful world of blockchains offers the opportunity for artists to not only connect directly with their audience, it also has brought artists the opportunity to start earning from their work by selling directly to the people who connect with their art, without being solely dependent on any gatekeepers.
Jumping into this world can be daunting, and finding your audience is not always easy to do. This is why trpplffct exists. Through the newsletter, specifically the Onchain Poetry Digest issues, and an active Farcaster account, the trpplffct poetry hub raises awareness of poetry NFTs and promotes collecting them.
To help poets start earning onchain, the trpplffct onchain poetry grant fund was launched in 2024. Funded initially by tips in the crypto currency $degen collected on Farcaster, the fund was also the fortunate recipient of two very generous donations from Sasha Stiles and Jesse Pollak. These donations have allowed us to raise the stakes in 2025. We now have enough funding to run 2 programs in 2025, each worth Ξ 0,03 (approximately € 100 in January 2025) per month.
Program 1: monthly grant
The monthly grant will distribute Ξ 0,03 to onchain poets each month. In the first 6 months of 2025, the distribution will be done in 3 different ways:
twice, a poem will be commissioned from a selected onchain poet to feature in a Weekly Poetry Shot issue of the trpplffct newsletter;
twice, the grant will be distributed via the /trpplffct channel on Farcaster using the rounds.wtf infrastructure, as has been done in 2024 as well;
twice, the grantee will be selected by a committee of which the members will be invited by trpplffct; if this committee does not come into existence, the grant will be distributed in the two other ways, one each.
Program 2: the trpplffct collection
Each month, the trpplffct wallet will acquire poetry NFTs for the total amount of Ξ 0,03. The curation procedure of the poetry to be collected is to be determined. Until the time the procedure is defined, the trpplffct management will curate the collection.
It is the intention to showcase NFTs in the collection in multiple ways, including via our oncyber gallery.

As we set up these programs in the first part of 2025, we will also start thinking about other ways to promote onchain poetry and lower the threshold for poets to start earning from their work onchain.
